PwD’s Leader Hails Yilwatda’s Emergence as Chairman

The National Leader of Persons With Disabilities (PwDs) in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tolu Bankole, on Friday congratulated the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on his emergence as the National Chairman of the APC.

The member of the National Working Committee described his election as ‘historic, deeply reassuring and a sign of renewed hope for the party’ at a time when visionary and reform-oriented leadership is most needed.

He disclosed this in a personally signed congratulatory message made available to journalists in Abuja.

He said, “Your track record as an academic, technocrat, and reformer in both public and private spheres gives us every confidence that the future of the APC is in safe hands.

“Your consistent advocacy for the vulnerable, particularly Persons with Disabilities, and your commitment to the ideals of good governance mark you out as a transformational leader,’ Bankole said.

Continuing, he pledged his full support to Yilwatda and expressed optimism that his leadership would unify the party and consolidate its strength ahead of upcoming electoral contests.

The APC chieftain also dismissed any perceived threats from opposition coalitions, including the African Democratic Congress.

According to him, President Bola Tinubu’s administration remains constitutionally guaranteed to run its full course till 2031.

“No coalition of confusion can stop what God has ordained. The mandate will be renewed by Nigerians and the APC under Prof Yilwatda’s leadership will only grow stronger,” he stated.
