Senegal were crowned champions of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after a dramatic 1–0 victory in extra time over hosts Morocco on Sunday night, securing the continental title for the second time in their history.

The final, played at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, was defined by high tension and VAR controversy. A decisive strike from Pape Gueye in the 94th minute ultimately separated both sides.

Following the conclusion of the tournament, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the individual and team awards recognising the standout performers of AFCON 2025.

Full list of award winners:

Player of the Tournament (Golden Ball): Sadio Mané (Senegal)

Mané’s leadership and consistent performances, including two goals and a crucial pre-assist in the final, earned him the Golden Ball for the second time in his career, following his 2021 triumph.

Golden Boot (Top Scorer): Brahim Díaz (Morocco)

Despite Morocco’s heartbreak in the final, Diaz made history by becoming the first player to score in five consecutive matches in a single AFCON tournament. He finished with five goals in seven appearances to claim the Puma Golden Boot.
