With Adamawa’s shift following Governor Ahmadu Fintri’s defection to the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC)-controlled states now rise to 30 out of Nigeria’s 36 states, while the PDP’s control narrows to Oyo, Bauchi and Zamfara.
Meanwhile, Anambra State remains under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Abia State is governed by the Labour Party, and Osun State is controlled by the Accord Party.
